ADHD Treatment

Why is ADHD making everyday life feel so overwhelming?

ADHD can make everyday tasks feel disproportionately hard, especially things like starting, organizing, and following through. If you’ve been wondering why simple things feel exhausting, there is a reason for it, and support can make a real difference.

At Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry, we provide thoughtful, integrative medication management and holistic support designed to help you feel more clear, capable, and in control. Our care is never about “trying harder.” It is about understanding how your brain works and supporting it in a way that actually fits your life.

You're not out of control. You just need the right support.

What are the common symptoms of ADHD in adults?

ADHD can make your mind feel like it is constantly moving, even when you are trying to slow down. Many people do not realize how many parts of life it can affect until they start noticing patterns.

You may be noticing:

Starting tasks feels harder than doing them

Forgetting things—even important ones

Procrastinating until the last minute (or past it)

Feeling mentally “busy” or restless all the time

Difficulty organizing thoughts, tasks, or spaces

Struggling to follow through, even with good intentions

Holistic Menopause Treatment

A Whole-Person Approach to Hormonal Mental Health

At Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry, we practice integrative psychiatry, which means we look at ADHD through a full-body and whole-life lens instead of focusing only on attention symptoms.

Your evaluation and care may include:

  • A comprehensive psychiatric assessment

  • Review of hormone levels and relevant lab work when appropriate

  • Collaboration with your primary care provider or other clinicians

  • Consideration of genetic testing when indicated

  • Exploration of sleep, stress, trauma history, nutrition, and nervous system health

Holistic Menopause Treatment

We use a range of treatment options depending on what supports you best, including:

  • Medication management when appropriate

  • Herbal and supplement-based supports

  • Nutrition and lifestyle strategies

  • Psychotherapy-informed approaches

There is no hierarchy in how we approach care. Your treatment plan is built around how your brain works, your history, and what feels realistic in your day-to-day life.

Trauma-Informed and Safety-Oriented Care

ADHD does not exist in isolation. It often overlaps with stress, identity, burnout, trauma history, and systemic pressures that can make symptoms worse or more complicated.

If you have ever felt dismissed, misunderstood, or told to “just focus harder,” this approach is intentionally different.

Fresh Path provides inclusive, trauma-informed care for adults of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and cultural identities. We are queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and committed to care that respects your full lived experience.

Your symptoms matter. Your experience matters. Your voice matters.

Can ADHD treatment actually make life feel easier and more manageable?

While ADHD can feel frustrating or overwhelming, the right support can make daily life feel more structured, predictable, and manageable over time.

With personalized care, many people find it easier to start tasks, follow through, and feel less mentally overwhelmed. Together, we build a collaborative care plan that may include your therapists, medical providers, and other specialists so every part of your care is working toward the same goals: clarity, stability, and resilience.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry accepts Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, and BCBS (commercial plans only — we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare). We also offer self-pay options and a limited need-based sliding scale. If you’re unsure about your coverage, we’re happy to help you verify benefits and understand your options.

  • We offer both virtual (across Colorado) and in-person appointments to meet your needs. Telehealth allows you to access care from the comfort of your home, while in-person sessions provide a more traditional office experience — whichever feels most supportive for you.

  • The first step is scheduling an initial evaluation. From there, we’ll take a fresh look at your history, symptoms, and goals to build a personalized plan that supports your whole health — mind, body, and nervous system.
