A Whole-Person Approach to Hormonal Mental Health

At Fresh Path, we practice integrative psychiatry, which means we look at ADHD through a full-body and whole-life lens instead of focusing only on attention symptoms. Your evaluation and care may include:

  • A comprehensive psychiatric assessment
  • Review of hormone levels and relevant lab work when appropriate
  • Collaboration with your primary care provider or other clinicians
  • Consideration of genetic testing when indicated
  • Exploration of sleep, stress, trauma history, nutrition, and nervous system health

There is no hierarchy in how we approach care. Your treatment plan is built around how your brain works, your history, and what feels realistic in your day-to-day life.

Our Values

Trauma-Informed and Safety-Oriented Care

ADHD does not exist in isolation. It often overlaps with stress, identity, burnout, trauma history, and systemic pressures that can make symptoms worse or more complicated.

If you have ever felt dismissed, misunderstood, or told to "just focus harder," this approach is intentionally different. Fresh Path provides inclusive, trauma-informed care for adults of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and cultural identities.

Queer-affirming Neurodiversity-affirming Trauma-informed All genders welcome
"Your symptoms matter. Your experience matters. Your voice matters."

We are queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and committed to care that respects your full lived experience — not just your symptoms in isolation.

What We Do

Can ADHD treatment actually make life feel easier and more manageable?

While ADHD can feel frustrating or overwhelming, the right support can make daily life feel more structured, predictable, and manageable over time. With personalized care, many people find it easier to start tasks, follow through, and feel less mentally overwhelmed. Together, we build a collaborative care plan working toward the same goals: clarity, stability, and resilience.

We assess your full picture before reaching any conclusions — psychiatric history, what you've noticed, how symptoms show up at work and in relationships, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. ADHD in adults is frequently underdiagnosed, overdiagnosed, and misdiagnosed, and a careful evaluation matters.

Medication is one of the most well-evidenced interventions for ADHD — but it works best when it's the right medication at the right dose for your biology. We select and adjust carefully, monitor your response, and explain every decision. This is an ongoing conversation, not a one-time prescription.

Targeted supplements and herbal supports can complement medication or provide an alternative when medication is not preferred. We review every option for clinical evidence and for how it interacts with your existing treatment and biology.

Sleep quality, blood sugar regulation, protein intake, movement, and stress levels all have a measurable impact on ADHD symptoms and how well treatment works. We incorporate these as specific, practical strategies rather than generic wellness recommendations.

Thyroid function, iron levels, and hormonal changes — particularly in perimenopause — can significantly worsen ADHD symptoms or mimic ADHD in people who don't have it. We include lab review when it's relevant to your picture.

ADHD affects more than attention — it shapes how people see themselves, their relationships, and their capacity to move through the world. Psychotherapy-informed approaches and coordination with therapists and other providers support the full picture, not just symptom management.
