Evaluation & Diagnosis
When You Feel Lost, The Right Support Can Turn Confusion into Clarity.
When symptoms feel confusing, unpredictable, or overwhelming, it can start to feel like you are just getting through the day instead of actually living it. A careful, supportive evaluation can help bring clarity to what is going on and what might help.
At Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry, we offer thoughtful, integrative evaluations and medication management combined with holistic support. Our goal is to help you understand what you are experiencing so you can feel more steady, clear, and supported in your care.
You are not broken. You are not hopeless. You deserve clarity.

What should I do if I don’t understand my symptoms or they do not make sense?
Not having answers for what you are feeling can be one of the most frustrating parts of mental health struggles. Many people start wondering if something is being missed or misunderstood.
You may be noticing:
Your symptoms don’t make sense to you
Your current treatment isn’t working for all of your symptoms
You feel unheard in conventional care (therapy, doctor appointments, etc.)
You noticed a shift in yourself after a big transition
You feel like you don’t fully understand yourself & your patterns
You feel like your health is out of your control
A Whole-Person Approach to Mental Health & Wellness
At Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry, we practice integrative psychiatry, which means we look at your mental health through multiple lenses rather than focusing only on symptoms in isolation.
Your evaluation may include:
A comprehensive psychiatric assessment
Review of relevant lab work and hormone levels when appropriate
Collaboration with your primary care provider or other clinicians
Consideration of genetic testing when indicated
Exploration of sleep, stress, trauma history, nutrition, and nervous system health
We use all available treatment modalities to bring you into balance, including:
Pharmacological medications
Western herbal formulations and supplements
Diet and lifestyle interventions
Targeted psychotherapy approaches
There is no hierarchy of medicine here. We build a personalized plan that respects your body, your history, and your preferences.
Trauma-Informed and Safety-Oriented Care
Your experiences do not happen in isolation. Identity, culture, trauma history, and ongoing stress all play a role in how symptoms show up and how they are understood.
If you have ever felt dismissed, rushed, or not fully heard during a medical or mental health appointment, this approach is intentionally different.
Fresh Path provides inclusive, trauma-informed care for adults of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and cultural identities. We are queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and committed to care that respects the full context of your life.
Your symptoms matter. Your experience matters. Your voice matters.
Can an evaluation actually help me feel clearer and more in control?
When you understand what is contributing to your symptoms, it often becomes easier to know what direction to take next.
A thorough evaluation can help reduce confusion and create a clearer path forward. Together, we build a collaborative care plan that may include your therapists, medical providers, and other specialists so every part of your care is working toward the same goals: clarity, stability, and resilience.
