Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma Can Affect Your Brain, Body, and Emotions — You Deserve Support That Handles It Gently.

Trauma can impact everything: your mood, focus, sleep, energy, relationships, and sense of self. That’s why having a trauma-informed provider is essential. At Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry, we offer thoughtful, integrative medication management and holistic support to help you feel steady, clear, and empowered again — not dismissed, minimized, or told to “just get over it.”

You are not too sensitive. You are not dramatic. You are navigating trauma.

We use all available treatment modalities to bring you into balance, including:

Trauma-Informed and Safety-Oriented Care

Trauma does not happen in a vacuum. It often intersects with identity, culture, and systemic stress.

If you’ve ever felt dismissed by a provider, told your symptoms were “just stress,” or felt unsafe sharing the full picture of your life — this space is different.

Fresh Path is committed to inclusive, progressive care for adults of all genders, sexual orientations, racial and cultural identities. We are queer-affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and deeply trauma-informed. Your lived experience matters. Your side effects matter. Your voice matters.

Relief Is Possible — And You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone

Trauma can feel destabilizing, but it can also be a powerful turning point with the right support. Together, we create a collaborative care team — integrating your medical providers, therapists, and specialists — so that every aspect of your health is working toward the same goal: balance and resilience.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. Fresh Path Integrative Psychiatry accepts Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, and BCBS (commercial plans only — we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare). We also offer self-pay options and a limited need-based sliding scale. If you’re unsure about your coverage, we’re happy to help you verify benefits and understand your options.

  • We offer both virtual (across Colorado) and in-person appointments to meet your needs. Telehealth allows you to access care from the comfort of your home, while in-person sessions provide a more traditional office experience — whichever feels most supportive for you.

  • The first step is scheduling an initial evaluation. From there, we’ll take a fresh look at your history, symptoms, and goals to build a personalized plan that supports your whole health — mind, body, and nervous system.
